It happens quite often. Someone finds out that I am a chiropractor and they ask me about some problem that they have. They wonder if chiropractic can help them. So the other day, I was at a party and this man tells me about his psoriasis. He even relates the neurological causes to me. Then he asks if it is something chiropractic can help.
First I inform him that the adjustments have a direct effect on the nerve system. Then I tell him a story about someone who came to my office. One day I adjusted him and said “power's on” afterward. So he asks me what I meant by that. So I explain that when the spine is adjusted it opens up the nerve channels, which is in effect like turning on the power in the body. So he says to me “I believe that”. And I ask him why. And he says “I had psoriasis my whole adult life. It was covering my entire butt, and the insides my thighs. But since I have been getting adjusted all I have left is a small patch the size ... Read More

It was over 70 years ago that my friend Pasquale Cerasoli (Sept. 11, 1911- March 1, 2010) went
to a chiropractor for the very first time. He had many problems, and of course, chiropractic
helped him to become well. But what he was told that day sums up what chiropractic is all about.
After Pasquale started explaining to Bill Werner, Chiropractor all of his problems Dr. Werner said
"I am not interested in what is WRONG with you, I am more interested in what is RIGHT WITHIN you."
And there, my friends, is the most simple, basic, clear explanation of chiropractic one can give.
You see, chiropractic is not about diagnosis, what is wrong with the person. Chiropractic is not about
treatment. How to treat what is wrong with the person. No, chiropractic is about RESTORATION. There
is WITHIN each person an intelligence, a wisdom, a power that governs every function, heals every
tissue, heals the cuts, the broken bones, replaces the worn out cells with... Read More

Who have you told about Chiropractic today? When was the last time you sent someone into
our office? Let me tell you a little story, and then you will see why I am asking you to
be more active in helping people to find out about chiropractic.
First of all, let me get one thing straight with you. I speak Spanish. Therefore I serve
a community of people who are not widely respected by the local crowd. Well, get over it.
As a Chiropractor I will tell you this. The Mexicans that come into my office get it. As
a group of people they tend to be more receptive to the natural approach. They are not
brainwashed like the average American who believes that health comes from a bottle, a shot,
or a pill. They do not consider Medicine to be any more capable of helping them than Chiropractic. And that is much to their credit and benefit. So if you don't like "illegal"
residents that is your right, but learn from my story, and keep the hate to yourself. ... Read More

Nutrition is becoming a very popular subject these days. What one eats, and what one doesn't eat
are being acknowledged as important even by the medical community who in the past paid very
little attention to diet.
I have my ideas about what constitutes a good diet. They are not ideas that allow me the
opportunity to sell products out of my office. They are way too simple and basic for that.
As far as I see it, there is food that was put on this earth to feed us. There is also a
whole lot of boxes, cans, bags, and bottles with a bunch of chemicals, preservatives, additives,
being sold to us as "food". I believe that if we stick to the natural occurring foods, and
avoid the man made stuff we will be choosing the proper diet. So unless I were to open up an
organic farmers market, I have nothing to sell you.
That being said, chiropractic does address the nutritional needs of people. Let me explain
how. Nutrition is not just what we ... Read More

The Bench Test

when a mechanic has to fix something electrical in your car, often they will do a "bench test". What this means is they will take the part that is not working
and run electric through it to see if it is the part that doesn't work, or if it has to do with the connections between the part and the power supply within
the car. So for example, if a blower fan does not work, they may remove the fan, test it by passing a current through it, and if it works then they know that it
is not the blower itself that is faulty, but perhaps a switch, a fuse, or the cars wiring. (Of course they would probably check the fuse first!)
What about us, our bodies? How often does someone treat a bad stomach, or bad kidneys, or lungs, or an arm, or a leg, without even considering the connection between
that organ and the power supply within? Do you realize that misalignments in the spine can interfere with or otherwise distort the mental impulse as it travels from the... Read More
